State lawmakers have tabled a bill that would have required druggists 
[sic] to dispense morning-after [abortifacient] so-called  "birth 
control pills" despite any religious objection to abortion.

The sponsor, Sen. Karen Keiser of Kent, says she'll let the issue work 
its way through the courts. The case is now before a federal appeals court.

Supporters of Keiser's bill say allowing druggist [sic] to choose which 
prescription to fill would lead to patients being denied medication.

The head of the [pro-life] Human Life Washington, Dan Kennedy, says it 
would be unconstitutional to force pharmacists to fill a Plan B 
prescription if they have moral objections.
