Organ Donations: know what you're giving away?

This is a debate recently passed on to PFLI, which we are sharing with 
our members and readers in its entirety for your edification and

on a Michael Fund interview with neonatalogist Dr. Paul A. Byrne titled 
"The Morality of Organ Donation." (See Attachment for full text of the 
Byrne interview)  *

*In response to his column which was critical of vital organ 
transplantation, Mr. Abbott received the following e-mail from **Kelly 
Ranum, RN:*

I just read your interview Randy Engel (Renew America)* and find your 
position on organ donation uninformed.  I know there is a great lack of 
true knowledge about our industry and this article will only add to that 
ignorance.  

 
You fail to address several very important points when discussing this 
topic:  1.  The catholic church has come out in support of organ 
donation and no where in this interview is that opinion referenced.  2. 
The staff that request donation from families are trained to deliver 
accurate information at an appropriate time. Sales is not part of their 
training care and compassion are.  Have you ever spoken to a donor 
family member?  I have.  3.  These families find great comfort in their 
decision to donate.  It truly helps their grieving process to know that 
their loved one gave life to someone else.  It is irresponsible to take 
that away or try to taint a process you know little about. 

 
I find your comments on money distasteful and completely inaccurate.  
Donation staff make less money then their peers with the same 
credentials working in hospitals.  The majority of people who do this 
work are dedicated to the mission of saving lives.  All organ 
procurement agencies are federally designated and a 501C3.

 
I am a practicing Catholic who knows that my job, as an organ 
procurement professional is my faith in action.  Giving life is truly a 
God given gift.  It should be supported and encouraged. 

 
I understand if you chose not to believe in the "gift of life".  Be 
professional enough to present all the information accurately, not just 
how you believe it to be. 

 
The 97,000 potential recipients (17 die every day waiting) and 6000 
donors that give every year deserve more than your interview delivers.

*The following is a response to Kelly Ranum, RN, written by Mrs. Bernice 
Jones, co-founder of the Life Guardian Foundation . ***

 
Dear Dr. Byrne, Randy Engel and Matt Abbott:

 
Thank you for allowing me, a mother of a son from whom all vital organs 
were excised, to respond to the comments made by Ms. Ranum. The truth 
regarding "brain death," the organ "donor" being alive and killed for 
the betterment of another for organ transplantation or for living human 
medical experimentation has quite obviously struck a nerve.  Indeed, the 
"double edged sword" penetrates the heart, soul and mind!

 
I respond to Ms.Ranum's comments in the order she stated them.

 
She finds in this article *"a position on organ donation uniformed."* 
 And then she goes on to say, *"I know there is a great lack of true 
knowledge about our industry and this article will only add to that 
ignorance."*

 
Excuse me?! Talk about an oxymoron!  Yet, since she has already admitted 
her direct involvement her response is to be expected. Most certainly 
anyone involved in this "industry" cannot speak the truth otherwise the 
entire propaganda campaign of "the gift of life" would collapse! This 
"industry" was founded on deception from the get-go!  "Exposed by the 
light," as this article does provide knowledge and empowers the reader. 
Much to the dismay of the enemy, truth prevails and endures forever!

 
She states*," 1. The Catholic Church has come out in support of organ 
donation . . ."* 


Could the Catholic Church approve the taking of a beating heart from a 
person not truly dead and still be the Catholic Church? Many of the 
Catholic faith, just as others, have been deceived. Under false 
pretenses the vast majority have been misled like "sheep to the 
slaughter." The "gift of life" is an ingenious propaganda campaign. This 
"industry" has thrived on many contrived fallacies beginning with the 
term "brain death." Most assuredly, knowing full-well the intent of the 
church to be in accordance with Biblical principals in protecting and 
preserving human life, the avenue chosen in having indoctrinated those 
of the Judeo-Christian faith has greatly advanced this industry's 
agenda.  What better "foothold" could the enemy of all life have chosen 
in his "cunning" to work within to deceive the flock?  The great masses 
have followed, "the blind leading the blind," to their death in the name 
of "good."  As warned by our Lord of a "deception so great," the "wolf" 
has been greatly underestimated and his age-old ploy to "steal, kill and 
destroy" has, once again, been most effectively guised as a "sheep."

Yes. The "staff" is "trained!" 

 
The script delivered to the "donor's" family has been well orchestrated 
and rehearsed. Like everything else pertaining to this "industry," the 
"*request*" has been contrived!  The "request," as it has been well 
documented, has been painstakingly developed through a process in which 
actors/actresses have been employed to assimilate the shock, grief and 
despair of the patient's loved ones! The *"staff"* are trained through a 
"collaborative" effort to achieve a highly successful donation rate in 
obtaining vital organ donation.

 
The "*appropriate time*" has long since been established as it is in 
ones' darkest hour when one is emotionally distraught and without "sound 
mind" this "*request*" for *"donation"* is purposely /executed/. 

Most "organ donors" are young men as they are most active and therefore, 
more prone to accidents. Also, their organs are most suitable for 
successful transplantation (grafting). Understand, in the midst of a 
sudden and tragic accident when the patient's loved ones are severely 
stressed and traumatized, the loved ones are approached and the 
"*request*" is made! Under no other circumstance is it deemed an 
"*appropriate time*" for a patient's loved one to be forced to make a 
decision under such duress!

 
The "*staff*" is "*trained to deliver accurate information*?" Nothing 
could be further from the truth!

 
The family and/or loved ones of the patient are given no hope 
whatsoever. Greif stricken, those closest to the patient are subjected 
to the well rehearsed script immediately upon being told their loved one 
is *dead*! Coupled with the fact the patient's loved one, as well as the 
patient, have been led to believe "the gift of life" is a benevolent, 
miraculous medical "cure" and "organ donation" portrayed as a heroic and 
honorable means to save lives. The "*request*" is to be considered 
acceptable and subjection to such rhetoric under these horrendous 
circumstances are to be deemed an act of generosity, and admirable!

 
No one has accused the enemy of life of lacking knowledge; rather, his 
"cunning" is to be anticipated! He is clever indeed!

 
Under the sterile, polished and gleaming exterior of the "gift of life" 
is an ugly, horrifying truth!

 
Without the "knowledge and consent" of the patient or the patient's 
family members/loved ones, the ICU has been transformed into a keeper of 
organs!  The "patient," having committed no crime, is condemned to 
death!  The ICU ward is, in effect, death row as the "organ donor" 
undergoes hours, sometimes days, of torturous treatment utilized as a 
container of "spare parts!" The "organ donor" is forced to endure the 
excruciating painful and ongoing chemical treatment in preparation for 
organ excising. Literally the "donor" is an organ warehouse and used for 
the sole purpose of organ preservation until such time a convenient 
death has been orchestrated and designated! 

The truth of the horrific treatment and death of the "donor" is a vile 
trespass of trust! The "donor" pays the ultimate price for ignorance as 
he/she is dissected to death! This is often done while the patient is 
given a paralyzing agent and no anesthetic! Multi organ excising, on the 
average, takes three to four hours of operating during which time the 
heart is beating, the blood pressure is normal and respiration is 
occurring albeit the patient is on a ventilator. Each vital organ, one 
at a time, is cut out!

 
Yes! It is well documented the heart rate and blood pressure go up when 
the incision is made. Isn't this the response the anesthesiologist often 
observes when the anesthetic is insufficient? Is this an indication that 
the donor feels pain?

 
The well disguised, lurking evil awaiting the ignorant at the local 
hospitals is incomprehensible!

 "My people are destroyed due to the lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6

 *"Sales is not part of their training care and compassion are. Have you 
ever spoken to a donor family member?"*

I am a "donor family member!" 

 
Despite the flowery brochures and the hype, doesn't organ donation 
revolve around money? Any so-called "*compassion*" portrayed is nothing 
other than the staff fulfilling their role as they conduct their well 
rehearsed act!

life to someone else."*

On the contrary, also well documented is the devastation of those left 
behind; the organ donor's family members/loved ones. 

 The truth of the death of the organ donor leaves family members/loved 
ones isolated in their guilt, pain and horror.  So popularized, "the 
gift of life" campaign has successfully excluded these suffering in 
their grief and deep remorse of having been deceived.  The reality of 
having been forced to participate in making a decision in which they 
/were not/ informed or physically, mentally or emotional capable, leaves 
the organ donor's family members/loved ones with the incredible burden 
of having had anything whatsoever to do with the death of their loved 
one! Most cannot be consoled. Many become habitual as they seek a means 
in which to drown their pain, sorrow and societal rejection.

 

The script conveyed by Ms. Ranum *("It truly helps their grieving 
process to know that their loved one gave life to someone else.") *is 
hogwash!  How can an organ donor family member find any consolation 
whatsoever in their loved one being "stripped for parts"?  Furthermore, 
to acknowledge their loved one was killed is a painful regret that runs 
deep like a river!

 
Every effort has been made to focus on "the gift of life" contributing 
to benefit another and the fallacy of the deceased being honored and 
whose memory is commemorated by the family members, the organ donor's 
loved ones, is further fabricated in an array of well contrived "urban 
legion" stories concocted to deceive the mainstream public.

 
There is not one area in which the enemy has not devised a means in 
which to manipulate the organ donation process!  Most families of the 
organ donor are left in utter despair and in complete solitude and 
chaos.  Peace is not found in the death of their loved one!  The gory 
details of the death of their loved one as an organ donor are known 
after-the-fact and few are offered the compassion and council necessary 
as "the gift of life" is not, in truth, revealed for what it is and 
therefore, no council is available to them.

 
Those involved with the "gift of life" propaganda are well aware of the 
need to falsify the true condition of organ donor's families/loved ones. 
Portrayed as living "happily ever after," contented with their "choice" 
to donate their loved ones organs as spiritually, mentally, emotionally 
and physically well is a hoax!  This is simply another very ugly, dark 
secret of "the gift of life" in which they have, with all diligence, 
worked to keep hidden beneath the radar of the general public's scrutiny.

 
The truth be known, in its' entirety, would most certainly present 
serious reconsideration of the so-called "dead donor rule," "brain 
death" and "the gift of life" "industry" in general!  The truth would 
evoke much anger once it is more fully realized, especially by those 
faithful to the Judeo-Christian Biblical teachings. Once recognized for 
what it is, deception and death, "brain death" and vital organ 
transplantation must be rejected!

 
Furthermore, once the historical account is closely observed and the 
truth of the "the gift of life" having been completely revealed as it 
is, an ancient, sacrilegious practice reintroduced in our modern age, 
serious repercussions would immediately ensue!  Pagan idolatry, 
prohibited within the Judeo-Christian faith, once discovered, would not 
be tolerated!  The collapse of this empirical "industry" would occur 
without doubt!

 * *Ms. Ranum states,* "I find your comments on money distasteful and

 TRUTH is feared by those who, in a continuance, propagate "the gift of 
life" as charitable and "good." EVERYONE involved in "the gift of life" 
"industry" prospers financially, that is, with the exception of the 
organ donor and family members/loved ones!

 *"Donation staff makes less money then their peers with the same 
credentials working in hospitals."*

* *First, may it be understood, the "*donation staff*" does indeed work 
in the hospital as undercover agents---might some say, paid "vultures"?  
Their income, regardless of the amount, is paid by "the gift of life" 
"industry."

 Given this most repulsive, despised job, it is no doubt the "donation 
staff" pay could be less than those who, as defenders of life and 
respected, would customarily accept!

The "gift of life" "industry" is a predatory organization! 

 
*"The majority of people who do this work are dedicated to the mission 
of saving lives."*

 
It isn't known if it is a "majority." Many actually involved in "brain 
death" and organ transplantation acknowledge that the donors are not 
truly dead but it is nevertheless acceptable to take the organs. "The 
gift of life" is a crime committed against humanity!  It is a human 
atrocity enabled by sheik, massive advertisement at the expense of every 
US tax payer!

 
The *"donor staff" *works behind the scenes in the hospital as they seek 
the means to do the following:

 
1) Tissue matching and/or other arrangements for the patient are made 
while at

the same time the patient's family members/loved ones are led to believe 
the patient is being treated for his/her condition for the benefit of 
protecting and preserving his/her life. Yet, the "donation staff" 
members are directly involved in preparing the 'patient' as an "organ 
donor!"  Protecting and preserving the life of the patient are not the 
interest and most certainly, not the intention of any "donation staff" 
member!

2) Consulting with organ transplant surgeons and other OPO staff 
continually in

orchestrating their coercive, devious plans to "steal, kill and destroy" 
is the intent.  Death of the patient, the "organ donor," is the end result.

3) The grand finale' for the "donation staff" is the last, but certainly 
not the least

of the ploys. Convincing the patient's family members/loved ones of the 
"death" of the patient and to commit their loved one to "the gift of 
life" as an "organ donor" is essential.  A "choice" they are told, their 
loved one would want them to make!

This is the truth.

 All organ procurement agencies are operated by government entities. At 
least, without doubt, this point is made clear.

 There are many government and private subsidiaries who work 
independently yet in unison.

 The OPO, having access to the commodity---human organs and 
tissues---are the first in line of many who benefit financially.

 The "sales" pitch for the patient to be donated is just the beginning 
of the long, bloody trail of this empirical industrial giant!

 Thought to be a "charity" industry and no revenue is collected, yet, 
this is but another fallacy.

 Ouch! The truth has gouged deeply hitting on this subject matter of 
money. How much money is involved in all this?

Told is the fable that the sale of organs is another "urban legion."  
The /fact/ is most (eighty five percent) of the federally designated 
organ procurement organizations sell human parts to their many 
for-profit subsidiaries (tissue banks). Companies generate huge profits 
from processing and selling human flesh. It is a billion dollar industry!

 What about the laws prohibiting the sale of human flesh?  No problem! 
It is disguised as an array of "professional services" and the flow of 
money continues.

 Of course, this bloody trail of money can be traced from the local 
hospitals, morgues, funeral parlors and crematoriums to the many body 
part industry conglomerates that reap financially. No one divulges the 
great revenue generated in the sale of human persons, alive and dead, in 
part or whole! No one connected with the industry, that is!

 
The "deception so great" it is not unveiled for the masses. Most 
assuredly, the grieving family members who are being preyed upon for 
their loved ones' *living* body to be "*sacrificed*" for this empirical 
industry at the hospital are not revealed!

 Altruism? A "non profit," "charitable" organization?  "The gift of 
life" is a deceptive industry established on perversity!  Relying on a 
multitude of lies, it takes a fanatical belief system in which they work 
earnestly to perpetuate.

 "The gift of life" is a lie!

 Is the "*97,000 potential recipients*" Ms. Ranum mentioned fictitious?  
As any business, based on supply and demand, in order to keep the 
commodity outrageously priced and their stocks high, the "waiting list" 
number is continually escalated!

 I would like to ask Ms. Ranum to look deeply into the industry in which 
she is employed. For her it is a matter of life, death and soul---for an 
eternity.

The deceived, "innocent," vulnerable and defenseless "organ donor" is 
alive and killed for the sole purpose of organ excising and/or living 
human medical experimentation. Why isn't this enough truth? As noted, 
Ms. Ranum did not touch this subject matter! But then again, she might 
not realize the permission is for not only transplantation, but also 
research and education!
